I will just rub it into all my fellow golfing friends to let them know that I am teeing off the Old Course at 8.40am ! Not a bad spot to live here in St Andrews, especially if you like the gowf.
Now I have been abstemious with respect to alcohol for over two weeks now and I won’t lie in saying that the last few days have been tough in getting my head around this. But I am feeling great and looking better and have a lighter and more positive mood. So I will go on.
I have had some great fun tours in Edinburgh and met some great and inspiring people. What a job to get to walk around Auld Reekie and show off this wonderful city.
I have my first food tour in St Andrews next week so hopefully that will go swimmingly.
Now what about McIlroy winning the Masters like that! Wow and wow and I would even venture a wow. This guy has a very rare talent and reminds me of Sevvy back in the day when he was most inspired. Ok he hasn’t quite got Sevvy’s charisma and looks but heho. Who has?
Blustering, pumped up Dechambeau showed everything that is wrong with America at the moment. All show and bravado and high five frontage. This Oval Office veneer. But what is really there deep down? Well not a lot. The American dream is fading. And it collapsed on Sunday night with hollow Mr Dechambeau. Prescient or what?
But I won’t go into American politics too much as I get way to annoyed with the travesty that is happening across there. It’s terrifying and unbelievable. Heaven help them with numpty Trumpy and his cast of crooks.
Anyway I have my new simple swing thought out today which is just getting a good turn and shoulder past my chin. Simple is good.
